You will find here your own unique baby blanket.
Each blanket is made in a different way, unless I have been extra energenic and made two of the same one. I use warm fleece for most of my blankets, otherwise you will also find blankets made from cotton fabric or even quilted blankets using fleece and flannel on the backing. These blankets last for years...my nequew, who is now four years old, had one of my blanket when he was born and his little sister even used it and it is still going strong.
For washing...simply wash in the washing machine and dry in dryer.
